On the 24th, January 2023, we celebrated the amazing 10 years working anniversary of one of our own- Jason Potter. Being a talented 3rd line Engineer, Jason has been a valued member of the team (while also being a great pool player) since day 1, there’s no doubt about it that our core values at Solutions 4 IT keep going strong because of people like him in the business.

Life before and after Solutions 4 IT

But what about Jason personally? I’m still learning new things about our team here every day since joining the company myself in July, 2022, but what I do know is that Jason went to Harry Cheshire Community High School in 1984-1987, which is actually now called Baxter College, in Kidderminster, and completed various courses in IT before graduating.

After that, Jason went onto scoring a position at a Computing Services company, working as a Field Engineer in 1993. Without a doubt, this was Jason’s starting point as an incredibly experienced engineer that would later work at Solutions 4 IT in 2013… which is quite weird for me to think about as I would’ve been 9 years old.

Solutions 4 IT was more than happy to employ Jason as a 3rd line engineer- accountable for escalated items out of the Service Desk front line team as well as take on the management and implementation of our projects. Of course, since 2013 he spent several years progressing further and further into the company becoming a truly valued friend as well as an employee.

It’s safe to say that along with his obvious passion for IT, he does love his vehicles too:

I mean, just looking at that photo I’m considering going back to school, taking that GSCE in IT and coming back as a 3rd line engineer.

Here and now

This little story now brings us all the way to 2023, with Jason still working at Solutions 4 IT.
