When it comes to enabling calls to regular phones in Microsoft Teams – Microsoft 365 Business customers have two options, the first of these options is to use Microsoft Calling plans.
Microsoft currently offer two calling plan options which are:
- Microsoft 365 Business Voice with Domestic Calling
Licensed users can call out to numbers located in the country/region where they are assigned in Microsoft 365
- Microsoft 365 Business Voice International calling plan Add on
Licensed users can call out to international numbers in 196 countries/regions.

Microsoft 365 Business Voice International calling plan Add on – £9 per user/per month
What’s included in the Microsoft Teams Calling Plan Cost:
Included in Microsoft 365 Business Voice with Domestic Calling is 1200 minutes to numbers located in the country/region they are assigned in Microsoft 365. Included in the Microsoft 365 Business Voice International calling plan Add on is 600 Minutes for calling to 196 countries/regions.
Included minutes are pooled at the tenant level and every user gets their own unique did (phone number) as part of the price.
What’s not included in the Calling Plan Microsoft Pricing:
Your base licence/subscription to Microsoft 365 is not included in the price so to use these products you must already have a Microsoft 365 Business Subscription. The price also doesn’t include any additional minutes, Additional minutes will be charged per minute using communications credits.

With Calling Plans in Microsoft 365, every user in your company must have a unique direct inward dial (DID) phone number and a corresponding validated emergency address. You can also specify an emergency location within the emergency address (e.g., an office number or floor number).

Included in Solutions Direct routing Calling Plan Cost is 2000 minutes to numbers located in the UK. International numbers can be dialled if your security settings allow this – however these calls and premium rate numbers will be charged at a per minute rate.
