Solutions 4 IT are now able to install FTTC for our customers!
What is FTTC:-
FTTC stands for Fibre to the Cabinet. It’s is a “superfast broadband” and is the first fibre broadband product available on the mass market in the UK. This broadband uses a fibre optic cable between the exchange and your nearest street cabinet which enables much higher upload and download speeds. The line from the cabinet to your home is still copper, but as copper performs just as well as fibre over short distances, you don’t suffer any reduction in performance.
FTTC is currently only available in certain exchanges, to see if FTTC is available on your exchange you will need to use an availability checker – Such as the one on www.samknows.com
